Jason Curran, 37, is charged with operating under the influence, operating after revocation, leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, violating conditions of release, and aggravated criminal mischief, Brunswick Police Chief Scott Stewart said. Brunswick police and firefighters were called just after 7 p.m. Wednesday to a head-on crash on Bath Road near Sawyer Park.

Jason Curran, 37, was driving a 2020 Jeep on Bath Road in Brunswick about 9 p.m. when he veered into the opposite lane, police said. Nathan Fowler, 44, of West Bath, was driving a 2021 Dodge pickup in the opposite lane and swerved to avoid the Jeep, but was unable to avoid the crash. His Dodge hit a utility pole that cracked in half but remained upright, police said.
