Burt Reynolds has been laid to rest, more than two years after his death
The late Hollywood legend, who was cremated, passed away in September 2018 aged 82, and was finally buried at a private ceremony at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles on Thursday (11.02.21) 15 February 2021
According to various outlets, family members watched the service via Zoom as his ashes were scattered on a grave next to a lake, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At present, the site is marked with a headstone with just Reynolds name across it, as a full bust of the movie star is set to be commissioned and unveiled on the third anniversary of his death on September 6, 2021.

Burt Reynolds finally reached his final resting place on Thursday (Feb 11) at a storied Hollywood cemetery in Los Angeles.
A small, private ceremony, with relatives taking part remotely via Zoom, was held Thursday morning at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, where Reynolds cremated remains were placed in a grave next to a lake nearly 2 1/2 years after his death.
A temporary headstone simply reading Burt Reynolds” now marks the site, but a bronze or stone bust of him is being commissioned, with hopes that it can be unveiled and opened to the public in September on the third anniversary of his death, Hollywood Forever president and co-owner Tyler Cassity told The Associated Press.
