Hyderabad: All eyes are on Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao’s high-stakes public meeting in Halia on Wednesday. The TRS has pinned all its hopes on the CM’s rally to boost the ruling party’s chances of a win in the Nagarjunasagar assembly bypoll scheduled for April 17.
Rao will give the final, decisive push for the TRS poll campaign by addressing an estimated turnout of one lakh people, mostly of beneficiaries of the state government’s welfare schemes.

HYDERABAD: Home minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali on Monday assured that the TRS government will resolve all problems of the Muslim community within the state.
Addressing a series of meetings in Yacharam and Kashiwarigudem villages in Anumula mandal of the Nagarjunasagar constituency, the home minister stated that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has all along supported Muslim minorities. Only the Congress treated the minorities as its vote bank.

Hyderabad: As many as 41 candidates are in the fray for the Nagarjunasagar assembly by-election after deadline for withdrawal of nominations on Saturday.
There were 60 valid nominations including 46 from independents after the scrutiny. Of these, 19 independents pulled out. Polling will be held on April 17 and the counting on May 2.
