Dimapur, Aug. 19 (EMN): The ‘State Handloom Expo’ organised by the Nagaland Handloom and Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) and sponsored by the development commissioner (Handloom), Ministry of Textiles, was inaugurated by the managing director of Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd., Dimapur, Abhijit Kumar Deb, on August 17. NHHDC, in an update, informed that the expo will be held from August 17 to the 30th. Altogether, 60 participants from Assam, Manipur and from the various districts of Nagaland are participating in the exhibition. “The main aim and objective of the exhibition is to develop and promote marketing channels in domestic and export markets and bring about linkage between the two in a holistic and integrated manner. It is also serves to provide marketing opportunities to handloom workers with special focus on talented and uncovered weavers,” NHHDC said. ....
