The Idaho Transportation Department and Idaho State Police are teaming up to help area residents improve their winter driving skills.
The two agencies are holding a pair of courses one in Sandpoint and another in Coeur d'Alene toward that goal. ITD and ISP will be providing the free informative and engaging winter driving safety classes in November as the region prepares for icy roads and adverse weather.

A new private school has begun their fall academic year following a ribbon-cutting ceremony Aug. 30.
Valor Christian High School offers classes for 9th and 10th grade students and will be adding 11th and 12th grades over the next two years. About 75 supporters and families in the audience to commemorate the school's grand opening.
