Helping Anna kids celebrate Christmas
Anna Police Chief Darrin Goudy, left, and his mom, Patricia Goudy, prepare to carry boxes of nail polish into another room where 10 families in need had a chance to pick-out presents and wrap them for their children on Friday, Dec. 18. The toys were originally given by Sidney Agape Distribution to Myrtle Tree Baptist Church. The church had some toys left over after their toy program finished. Anna Police Officer Sarah Wise’s dad, Tom Walter is the pastor at Myrtle Tree Baptist Church and her mom, Mary Walter, is a Sidney Agape distributer. Officer Wise told her parents that Goudy was planning on treating an expanded group of Anna children in need to Christmas activities next year. Rev. Walter suggested they take the leftover toys from his church and do it this year. Santa also paid a visit to the Anna Police Station for the event.
