JACKSONVILLE, Ill. The William Woods men s and women s indoor track and field teams competed in the Jim Green Invitational hosted by Illinois College on Saturday.
ELSAH, Ill. Running in the venue that is set to host the American Midwest Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Feb. 17, Landon Dunlap highlighted several strong performances by the William Woods University track and field squad in the Principia College Relays Friday.
COLUMBIA The Lincoln women’s cross country team opened its season Friday with an 11th-place finish at Columbia College’s Larry Young Invitational at Gans Creek Course.
Lincoln finished with 314 points in the women’s team standings. Truman State won the team title with 41 points.
Outside of the weather conditions, it was another good day for area athletes Saturday in Day 2 of the Class 2 track and field state championships at Adkins Stadium as five athletes received all-state honors by reaching the podium in their respective events.
