parents, they worked hard. they always put us 1st and they did a huge amount for us. the chest, music lessons, they were good parents who cared about our education and we were lucky in a lot of ways. my secondary school, very few children stayed on to do a levels, even if you went to university. there were loads of bright girls at my school who, in the past didn t get the opportunity that i had. i want to spread that opportunity. again, i was lucky. my parents, actually the reason i carried on playing the flute, as well as my chest, i carried on going to those lessons and practising every week because i knew it matter to my dad because those lessons were expensive. we didn t have a huge amount of money, but he wanted me to have the best opportunities and start in life. you did, he went opportunities and start in life. you did, he went on opportunities and start in life. you did, he went on to oxford university. in many ways, this is a classic politician s upbringing.
