Pressure is mounting on the cash-strapped Buffalo City Metro to account for its ballooning spending on several multimillion-rand projects, most of which were either completed late or are still awaiting completion, and need even more money.While the metro is cutting back on overtime and fleet vehicle costs, and desperately trying to recoup money spent on the Settlers Way upgrade, the city has unveiled its now controversial Court Crescent project which has caused an uproar over its price tag.
