The brother of Mosarat Jahan Muniya has filed a petition to start a case accusing Sharun Chowdhury, son of whip Shamsul Hoque Chowdhury, of murdering the college student.

The latest development added a twist in the investigation into the death of Muniya.
Her sister Nusrat Jahan Taniya had earlier initiated a case against Sayem Sobhan Anvir, managing director of Bashundhara Group, accusing him of instigating Muniya to take her own life.
Muniya’s brother Ashikur Rahman Sabuj filed the petition with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrates Court of Dhaka on Sunday. ....

Dhaka, April 16 (IANS) The Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka, Morshed Al Mamun, on Thursday placed three Hefazat-e-Islam leaders, including the central assistant secretary general of the militant outfit, Mufti Sakhawat Hossain Raji, on five-day remand each in connection with a case related to the arson attack at Shapla Chattor in Dhaka s Motijheel area on May 5, 2013.
