“What did I know about putting words to music at 7 years old? It was the 1960s and my first song had the typical Sixties sound, just without words.”
Croce knows a lot about putting words to music these days. It’s the 2020s. Music with lyrics went into Croce’s first CD, titled Circle of Friends. It’s a showcase of mature, intelligent observations harvested from a lifetime of varied experiences. The13-track disc, with all songs written and performed by Croce, was released in mid-May.
