progress. rick? rick: what are top house leaders saying? house republican leaders say they are willing to accept a deal that the senate is going to vote on late night tonight. take a listen to this. we re hopeful that in the senate i know they are having some meetings. i hope that they would be able to move that and if they take a week off the continuing resolution, we will take that and keep government working and make sure come monday morning everything is up and running. the house democratic leader called on president trump to help cut a deal. every one of our solutions on the path to an agreement which we could make in an hour, we want the president to come to the table and negotiate how we can do this in a very short period of time to open up government. a lot of folks here expressing the concern that this if this is not figured out quickly, positions could harden. and this could be a very long government shutdown.
