Following security challenges bedeviling the Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State, some residents have started fleeing their houses over renewed attacks by bandits.
Bandits last week killed two residents, kidnapped 20 and injured many others, with foodstuffs and property looted.
The affected communities included Rafi-Doko, Yakila, Katako and surrounding villages in the Rafi council.
The villagers were seen entering Tegina in Rafi in their numbers with loads on their heads.
One of the residents of Tegina, Mohammed Kuta, told our correspondent that the villagers were demanding from the Niger State Government a camp where they could stay until the security situation improved in their various villages.
