[applause] and for many of you, the project there is a little bit about the project itself, it is 1.8 miles long, and it started from peach street all the way to mcalester and some people say, from the day to civic centre. so it is a long stretch and we are very excited that this project is complete and as many of you know, this particular street before this project happened, this corridor was one of the high injury network corridors here in city, and through the work of many of the commissions and many people, we have been able to improve the streetscape. today, that path is behind us. how about a clap for that. [applause] the streetscape is a makeover that offers several pedestrian crossings, bike lanes, and more importantly, it helps the businesses along the corridor be more vibrant. we are excited about that. the project has improved lighting and has improved landscaping, it has many new pedestrian bulb outs, a lot of work to the infrastructure, new paving, a
direction. we have written a policy to allow the city to pursue that reimbursement where it occurs. two other recommendations to highlight. we are in the process of study to evaluate our charge master at san francisco general. this is our rates. we are looking at a number of other hospitals to benchmark where we are in comparison to those other hospitals to look at whether our pricing is in line with standards. i will note that from a practical purpose, once we put the patient protections into effect, the rates that we adopt will have very little bearing on the individual patient because we set the out-of-pocket maximums. we set a cap on what to bill the patient based on insurance coverage, and because of that the rates really become essentially the primary function of the rates is relationship between the hospital and insurance companies. out of our due diligence we are going to go through with the study to determine if there are areas where our pricing is out of line with t
cash. by allowing qualified nonprofit organizations to more easily purchase multiunit residential buildings in san francisco, we re striving towards equity. by preserving affordable housing, tenants will have more protection from eviction and displacement and ensuring more vulnerable communities and families can stay in soma and across the city. we have an established filipino heritage community. this community is connected to this place and in order for this country and culture to continue to thrive, we need to stay in soma. we must be prioritizing solutions so that displacement crises that are proven to work and i believe that the community opportunity to purchase act is a big step forward in the right direction. once again u i support copa. thank you. chair fewer: thank you very much. david woo. we re fully support of this in our-thinking it legislationing thathink forward-thinkingleg. one the largest issues face bid faced by organizations of existing houses is the
own inhome support staff service. is this training also open to the citywide besides their own staff? oh, absolutely. they ll be doing outreach to the wider community, not just their own staff. okay. another question i have is, like, the fringe benefit for part-time is 27%. isn t that a little bit high? i don t know i ve been out of the workforce for such a long time. what does the 27% include? i know that when i was working, you have to pay health benefit for people that work 20 hours and up per week, but some of them are at, like, 10%, so are they still paying the housing insurance or what? yeah. i mean, the way the staffing is i mean, some of these, they re being shared across programs, so for example, you know, the compliance officer, they re directing 10% of their salary towards this, but that officer is a full-time officer. so that s why they have the full fringe benefits? correct. president serina: okay. any other comments or questions? tiffany, what la
housing and homelessness committees. but i want to focus most of my time talking on courtney brown, who is a former co-worker of mine at the tenderloin housing clinic, and someone who helps connect me to the san francisco suicide prevention hotline that i now work on. courtney has soft-pedalled some of her accomplishments. she really, like, wrote the training manual that we use at the suicide prevention hotline. she was a tremendously important advocate for folks on the margins of society who are experiencing suicidal ideation. oftentimes these feelings are related to, you know, their housing and things that feel outside of people s control. i don t think that there is maybe anyone in the city who is better positioned to really hear and understand the really intense problems that people in the marginal society are experiencing. working with her at t.h.c., i saw her rise immediately to a position of great leadership in the organization, where she has been sort of looking after
