MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - Curators at the Mississippi River Museum on Mud Island want to find tens of thousands of dollars worth of artifacts that were apparently stolen last year.
The theft at the museum on Mud Island happened in October but is just now coming to light in a police report we obtained.
According to the report, $50,000 worth of artifacts were stolen.
“I just think it’s preposterous that somebody would steal treasures like that,” said Lee Millar.
