is underway in baltimore, maryland. it comes after a major bridge collapsed early this morning. many details aren t clear at this time, but here s what we do know. baltimore city police confirmed they were notified just after 130 this morning that the francis scott key bridge partially collapsed, with workers possibly in the water. according to our baltimore fox affiliate. a large container ship struck the bridge, causing the collapse, and then caused multiple vehicles to fall into the water. crews are now working to rescue at least seven people that we know of. we re also learning the ship caught fire before sinking. the maryland transportation authority says all lanes to the bridge are closed and traffic in the area of the bridge is being detoured. the francis scott key bridge, or, as it s better known, the key bridge, spans about a mile and a half across the patapsco river. a busy four lane highway known as i-895 runs across the bridge connecting other major highways toget
