Missouri Prime Beef Packers took one more step toward opening by recently holding a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony. Missouri Cattlemen s Association was among those attending, in addition to Missouri Gov. Mike Parson, U.S. Representative Billy Long, Missouri Department of Agriculture Director Chis Chinn, officials from the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Senator Sandy Crawford, Representative Mike Stephens, local government officials, and area representatives.
The 100,000 sq. ft. facility, located in Pleasant Hope, will have the capacity to process 500 head per day and will custom process cattle for a variety of niche programs that emphasize a connection between the consumer and the producer.
