Police spokesperson, Robert Netshiunde, said that they responded to a shooting incident in Sigodini, Mid Illovo, in the early hours of Wednesday morning to find the two women’s decapitated bodies lying in a pool of blood.
A 51-year-old KZN man, arrested in connection with the murders of his mother and sister, is due to make his first appearance in the Richmond Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Police responded to reports of a shooting and when they arrived the decapitated bodies of an 87-year-old woman and her 39-year-old daughter were discovered.
