POLICE have issued an appeal to speak with a 30-year-old man in connection with a burglary on Canvey Island. It is understood cash was taken from St Nicholas’ Church, in Long Road, between 6.30pm and 6.45pm last Sunday. A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We want to speak to Micky Scott in connection with a burglary on Canvey Island. “He is described as white, 5ft 9ins tall, of medium build with short light-brown hair and stubble. “He has links to Canvey Island, Benfleet, and Southend.” If you have any information about where he is you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk or use the Live Chat button to speak to an online operator between 7am-11pm.
