CLEVELAND, Ohio If there were an Academy Award for Minimal Disclosure in architecture and planning, the recent update released by Sherwin-Williams Co. about plans for its new downtown Cleveland headquarters would win a prize.
The bare-bones site plan unveiled by the global paint manufacturer is a masterpiece of tight-lipped discretion, a wonder of withholding. It’s a collection of three blue boxes superimposed on a map of streets and footprints of existing buildings on the west side of Public Square. That’s it. Nothing beyond a few shapes.
