A man wanted for running a methamphetamine lab out of his home near a day care in Upper Southampton was arrested Thursday night, according to police.
Upper Southampton police said in a news release that Charles Glenn Barton, 37, was arrested in a hotel in Horsham on Thursday. The U.S. Marshals Service assisted in the arrest.
Barton had been wanted since September on charges alleging he and another man ran the methamphetamine operation out of of Barton s home in the Belmont Station complex off Belmont Avenue.
Barton is charged with drug possession with intent to deliver, possessing a substance to manufacture a controlled substance, operating a methamphetamine lab near a school or playground, operating a methamphetamine lab, and conspiracy to commit those offenses, and risking catastrophe, all of which are felonies.
