With a combined 112 years of teaching experience, these educators were joined by over 200 colleagues, friends, and family members to celebrate their achievements.
"As we think about preparing Humboldt County students for their preferred future, the importance of the trades cannot be overemphasized. I am grateful for the strong partnership we continue to nurture with the Humboldt Builders Exchange, and I applaud the efforts of CIEF in providing hands-on learning experiences for our High School students through the Trades Day event," said Michael Davies-Hughes, superintendent of Humboldt County Schools
Members of the Rotary Club of Southwest Eureka visited Alice Birney Elementary School on Friday and presented each student in the third-grade classes of teachers John Moore and Sara Cotter with an atlas as part of its Atlas for Kids program.
Kane said that the two new "Free Little Children’s Libraries" at the parks are in fact larger than some others in the county “in order to accommodate the size of children’s books, with a special focus on board books, Spanish language books and books emphasizing social emotional learning.”
