has used to sort of convinced folks, their customers, to do things that aren t good for them. and so the work of the investors at iccr and the challenge is that on the one hand we are investors. we have pension obligations and, in fact, when you think about investors there s always this tension about short-term versus long-term. as faith-based investors i would argue we actually have the longest time horizon of eternity. so we take this stuff very, very seriously. and we are trying to not only encourage corporations across a number of mispriced externalities to change how they operate, but we are also absolutely convinced, and i think that the record bears this out, that by paying attention to these mispriced externalities, by sitting down with companies and talking about something that may not look like a profit oriented conversation, that we actually anticipate problems and opportunities in the marketplace. one of the reasons that corporate america lets us into
patterns around unhealthy high fat, high sugar, high salt food. so, i think around nutrition, and around food, there are people working at the local level to create alternative food systems. there are people pressuring the city to adopt healthier policies, and we ve seen a lot of changes in city policy. the child nutrition act is coming up for reauthorization in 2015. three important provisions around school food and there are several groups in new york, including city harvest, that are mobilizing people. those are a few of the opportunities. i find there are too many opportunities to participate in and we have to decide on the ones that are important to us, but every one of us can find something to do in my view. i think there s a relationship between the two questions as well. the earlier question exactly, yeah. a marvelous resonance, and i think that there is a place that we all understand instinctively, and it is not to paraphrase yogi berra but the problem with
