A Winter Storm Watch issued earlier had been dropped as the system is no longer expected to bring enough snow quickly enough to warrant the watch, said Boston 25 Chief Meteorologist Kevin Lemanowicz. A Winter Storm requires 6 inches of snowfall in a 12-hour time span. The system moving in “will take longer to get the 6″ in some areas,” Lemanowicz said.
