After Orange County deputies say she was run down by this teenager. Investigators say 15yearold Jancarlos Ortiz sped off in a car as Sergeant Pearce tried to arrest him on burglary charges friday morning. Sergeant pearce was in the vehicle s direct path and landed on the hood, hanging on as ortiz allegedly stepped on the gas. Paul smalley she rolled herself off of that hood. When she came to, she didn t know where she was, she didn t know what was going on, she s sitting in the middle of the street. She knows there s blood everywhere. Chris Sergeant Paul smalley, who also works at the Orange County sheriff s office, tells wesh 2, his wife is home recovering from a fractured foot, has stitches in her head, and plenty of bruises.
