For the first time ever, another organization will host BBQ contest on the same week as Memphis in May’s World Championship BBQ Contest next year at Liberty Park.
The organizers of Mempho, who have already announced a music festival to be held in Tom Lee Park in May of 2024 while Beale Street Music Festival is sidelined, said that they will be hosting a barbecue cooking contest in Downtown Memphis the same week that the Memphis in May World Barbecue Cooking Contest is happening in Liberty Park.
