Racial violence is some faroff memory, a grainy bloc and white past long forgotten, but in tulsa, oklahoma, that distance between the past and the present begins to shrink. 100 years ago, this community experienced a race massacre. 18 hours of sheer destruction 18 hours men fleeing for their lives but for Black Tulsans the story didnt end for the masser k. It continued for 100 years, a trauma felt by each generation in its own way through segregation, through Urban Renewal, through gentrification. This story is about the People of greenwood, what was taken from them and their fight to be made whole. Imagine where we would be had it not happened, had our families not been destroyed. Because the american Story Cant be contained in a snapshot. Its an epic poem. Oral history passed from one generation to the next. You didnt read it in a book. You didnt see it in a movie. You witnessed it yourself in reality. History doesnt make your heart bleed. It wasnt always a story about loss and blood

Transcripts For CSPAN2 U.S. Senate Sen. Paul On Spending In Science Technology Bill 20240710

One side is honest about it. One side will tell youthey dont give a fig about the debt. The debt be damned, we are for newmonetary theory. Spend as much as youve got, borrow as much as you can and somehow we will combat the influence of china by borrowing more money from china. It doesnt seem to make sense but thats where we are so we have before us a bill that will simply add to the debt. We will go further in debt. You might make the argument we are less strong the more indepth we are. Where is the opposition . There was no opposition on one side of the isle and on the other side theres feigned opposition. Republicans will feign opposition to the debt. They will say we care about the debt and the otherside borrows too much. You hear republicans campaigning against the debt only to come to Washington And Vote for most of the debt. What we end up with is a 28 trillion debt. We borrow more unloved than we used tomorrow in a year. March of this year we borrowed 660 billion in one month.
