Monday, June 3 Harassment – Officer responded to a report of harassment. Parties were separated and advised to not have contact with one another. A report will be sent to the Prosecutor for review. Fail to Pay – Officer responded to a gas station for a fail to pay complaint. The driver returned and paid for the fuel while the report was being filed. Fleeing and Eluding – Officer assisted the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Department with a pursuit where the driver fled from the vehicle by foot. Subjects were located and placed into custody without any major incident.
Tuesday, June 4 Hit and Run – Officer responded to the listed address for report of a hit and run. Officers were able to make contact with the offender and get the appropriate information. A report will be submitted to the prosecutor.

Mecosta-county-sheriff-departmentMecosta-county-sheriffAt 8:09 P.M., deputies from Mecosta County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on Perry Ave., near Waldron Way, in front of Walmart in Big Rapids Township.
A 28-year-old female driver from Big Rapids, driving a Ford Explorer, was leaving Walmart parking lot towards Perry Ave. when they pulled out in front of a Buick Enclave driven by a 55-year-old male from Frederic. The driver and occupants in the Buick Enclave were not injured. The female driver of the Ford Explorer was taken by EMS to Corwell Hospital in Big Rapids for non-life-Threatening Injuries.
Deputies were assisted by Meceola Central Dispatch, LIFE EMS, Big Rapids City PD, Mecosta County EMS, Big Rapids Township Fire and Rescue, Big Rapids Towing and Curries Towing.
