MOLINE, Ill. The act of donating a box of cookies to the Military, Essential Workers, and Teachers, may seem small. But to be on the receiving end of that gesture show them that someone remembered them, especially as we have met the one-year mark for the Coronavirus pandemic.
If there is any credence to the old saying that good things come to those who wait, the Girl Scout staff is in for some bountiful times ahead.
Just around the time that COVID-19 was making its impact known in early 2020, the Girl Scouts decided to move headquarters from Dubuque to Camp Little Cloud, and ever since then, theyâve been patiently waiting to host a grand opening.
After several attempts to host something last summer, which were all ultimately canceled due to circumstances beyond their control, Vice President of Marketing for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois Maura Warner said all they can really do is laugh about it and hold out for the future.
