Share COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 18 Ohio State men’s hockey team closed out the 2020 portion of its schedule with a 3-2 loss to Arizona State Friday in Value City Arena. Ohio State falls to 3-6-1 (3-5-0-0-1-0 B1G) and the Sun Devils improve to 4-6-2. The Big Ten released the 2021 men’s hockey slate today and the Buckeyes will return to action Jan. 8-9, 2021 when they host Penn State in Value City Arena. The full schedule is HERE. Arizona State 3, Ohio State 2 – The Short Story The Buckeyes led 1-0 after the first period on a Layton Ahac power play goal. The Sun Devils tied the game at 11:33 of the second with a power play score but Ohio State’s Matt Cassidy answered just 50 seconds later to put the Buckeyes back ahead. Arizona State scored twice in the final five minutes of the period, with an even strength goal at 15:46 and power play tally on a major at 19:48 to tie the game and take the lead.
