James “Jim” Hubert Streets, of Martinsburg, surrounded by his family, went to be with the Lord on his 88th birthday.
Born Dec. 1, 1932, in Elk Garden, he was the son of the late William and Gertrude (Hopengardner) Streets.
On June 16, 1956, he married the love of his life Janet (Males) Streets. The two would spend the next 63 years building an amazing life together until Janet went to Heaven Sept. 28, 2019. They frequently traveled, visiting their favorite locations in Hawaii and Florida. His life was all about loving his family and making sure everyone had the best he could provide. He had a love for flying that started in his Air Force days and became a lifelong passion. He was an avid Disney fan. Disney World was one of his favorite vacation locations, entering the Magic Kingdom during the first week of its opening and continuing many times each year after that. He honestly believed Disney World was the happiest place on earth.
