After receiving significant student demand and encouragement following its opening nights, On Call Café has secured Old Union as a venue beginning in spring quarter 2024.
From ideation to authorization, On Call is no small feat. Last week's café was a step to create spaces that prioritize socialization and allow student creativity to flourish, according to organizers.
The "Hello Spirit" is a cultural practice engrained in Stanford's history dating back to the late 19th century it embodies the unspoken bond between members of the Stanford community and highlights a comfort in spontaneous interaction that lays a foundation for lasting relationships at Stanford and beyond. Authors van den Dale and Perper argue that our community should reconnect with these roots to foster a culture for future generations to appreciate.
