[background sounds]. good afternoon everyone, i m kate brown, i m governor morgan and chair of the mba health and human services. thank you governors for your great remarks and i appreciate everyone s patience as we took such break. i m delighted that all of you are here today to join us to talk about a critically important issue that is facing our young people. that is the nicotine epidemic. in the health crisis the public health crisis that we all know is vaping. it is claiming too many lives and is making countless of our community members sick. while the nicotine addiction is not a new issue, the vaping epidemic national attention this last summer, we learned of the outbreak of lung injuries and deaths associated with e-cigarettes, and vaping products. many of this product may contain nicotine in addition with other chemicals. as of january 21st, 2020, until of 2711 cases of hospitalizations have been reported from our 50 states due to e-cigarette

good morning from the studio 57 newsroom at cbs headquarters here in new york. good to be with you. i m anne-marie green. disaster is at the doorstep and it is coming in. that s what north carolina governor roy cooper said about hurricane florence which is expected to approach the coast of north and south carolina later today. florence is a category two hurricane at this time with sustained winds of 110 miles per hour. its eye is likely to make landfall near the north carolina/south carolina border late today or early tomorrow. hurricane is now taking a more southerly track and is expected to linger before moving inland. more than 10 million people are at risk in the southeast. florence remains a grave threat to life and property. storm surge warnings and watches extend from south carolina all the way up to the north carolina/virginia border. a storm surge of up to 13 feet is possible along parts of the north carolina shore. and excessive, long-lasting rainfall, up to 40 inch
elliott, let s talk about these documents. these are the same documents that meadows turned over to the january 6th select committee. what is the significance of them now being shared with the doj? what s the big picture view here? yeah, i think the big picture view, don, is number one, most people actually comply with subpoenas. so much focus has been on who hasn t been complying. at the end of the day, there s a tremendous risk that someone takes by not doing so. i don t know what mark meadows calculation was here, but clearly, the risk of prosecution is pretty great. by not complain. big picture, think about all of the things that text messages to and from mark meadows could provide evidence of help support. obviously, there is the white house s response to violence on the day of january 6th. that certainly the most obvious. then there s the questions of how congress was itself obstructed. as a governmental body or is congress itself. and certainly, questions may have co
