Nagpur: A major fire broke out at Snehal Pharma and Surgicals Pvt Ltd in Butibori industrial area on Monday morning. Raw material meant for manufacturing antibiotics, sanitizers and imported machinery worth crores were gutted.
The fire started due to short-circuit at an adjoining area where scrap from the factory was stored, said fire officials, adding no casualties and injuries were reported.
The factory is owned by Sudhir Deulgaonkar former officer on special duty with Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari and his brother Subodh.
The fire started at around 10.40am in the ground-plus-two storey factory situated in MIDC estate in Butibori. ....
