Desert Valley Hospital and the Prime Healthcare Foundation have offered to fund the seismic retrofitting of Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley.
The Apple Valley Town Council will write a letter of support for the Providence-Kaiser Permanente partnership, but Councilman Art Bishop says it will convey a heavy concern over the possible closure of St. Mary Medical Center.
Providence St. Mary will create an ad hoc committee to discuss options for its Apple Valley medical center, which will close should the organization relocate to Victorville in 2026.
