but one thing actually worked. as the russians smuggled their books to the west, these books have a tremendous effect on public opinion here. one thing that worked was books. holland s daughter and 2 was, that is the challenge. what happens now, a completely different situation because you have the borders of them. people move freely out of the county and into the county, we have a new phenomenon in washington and london and the european capitals. aspiring to have a say in the politics towards russia. it makes a lot of americans very uncomfortable because it actually produces a reaction so this is something in addition to the books, this is a new situation we have here. with these individuals and organizations, very much inspired by the previous examples and experiences of stalin and soviet intelligence. one of the fascinating things about the book is a lot of the action and a lot of the network and intrigue takes place in our very city. you undertook some re
