Hundreds of people viewed the Monday, April 8, 2024, partial solar eclipse while gathered on Buskirk Field at Marshall University in Huntington during an event hosted by the Marshall University Astronomy Club (MUAC) and Society of Physics Students.
According to NASA s Eclipse Explorer, Charleston, West Virginia will have maximum coverage of 92.8% at 3:13 p.m. during the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8, 2024. People are expected to travel in order to view the celestial event in the path of totality. In some locations, totality only lasts a minute or two.
