SEAMASS recognized for drinking water quality

Photo courtesy: Covanta SEAMASS ROCHESTER The Covanta SEAMASS waste-to-energy and recycling facility won the MassDEP annual award for drinking water system operations for a second-straight year. SEMASS competed with a field of 253 other, non-community water supply systems in Massachusetts. “This DEP recognition is a direct result of our teams commitment in being positive environmental stewards” Facility Manager Mark Davis said. Due to SEMASS’ setting at the boundary of three towns Rochester, Middleboro and Wareham there is no municipally-supplied water. “Protecting the precious resource of water is not easy and it takes talent. I am pleased to see the team continues to be recognized by our regulators for their efforts”. Area Asset Manager Mark Van Weelden said
