A gas explosion hit the Ajegunle-Apapa area of Lagos, which has led to injury to one pregnant woman and adults. Firefighters were quick to quell the flames.
The Lagos State Police Command has refuted media reports (not LEADERSHIP) that lives were lost in the gas explosion at Alayabiagba community in the Ajegunle
According to a source: “The fire explosion started around 1:30pm and immediately, two tricycles were burnt, school children coming back from school were affected.
Nine persons including a pregnant woman, children and adults suffered varying degrees of burn injuries when a gas explosion rocked Ajegunle-Apapa in Lagos on Tuesday. The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRS) said the explosion occurred at approximately 12:39 pm on Tuesday. According to the agency, preliminary investigations suggest that a suspected gas leakage triggered the explosion, subsequently igniting a high-tension cable. It noted that the problem caused the fire outbreak.
