Not Enough Lifejackets on Boat Hired to Lough Erne Murder Accused, Trial Hears 30th April 2021 The body of Lu Na McKinney was found by a jetty at Devenish Island on Lough Erne, near Enniskillen Credit: Titanic/Wikimedia The trial of a man accused of murdering his wife on a boating holiday in Co Fermanagh has heard the company that hired out the boat to the accused had failed to supply enough lifejackets on board, as BBC News reports. It was originally suspected that McKinney slipped from the deck of the boat which was hired from Manor House Marine, a director of which was questioned during the second day of the murder trial at Dungannon Crown Court yesterday, Thursday 29 April.

McKinney accused of knowing there were not enough lifejackets onboard Stephen McKinney, the man accused of murdering his wife during a family boat trip five years ago was accused by police of sailing off knowing there was not enough life jackets onboard their cruiser. On Wednesday his Dungannon Crown Court trial heard during police interviews, detectives put it to the now 44-year-old father of two, that this was all part of his cunning plan . his grand scheme, to kill his wife Lu Na. The revelation came from defence QC Martin O Rourke during cross-examination of a director of the Manor House Marina who accepted that the cruiser hired by the McKinney family was two life jackets short.
