An army private and a 30-year-old civilian charged in connection with the missing Galil rifle from the regiment were granted a total of $350,000 bail when they returned to court on Wednesday.

Three male relatives are currently assisting Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI) detectives with their enquiry into the death of a man, which occurred in Macoya Settlement, Tunapuna, on January 1st.
According to reports, at 10:25 pm on Friday 1st January 2021, police responded to a report of a fight in progress at a house along Macoya Extension, Tunapuna.
The TTPS confirms that on arrival at the scene, first responders observed a man lying on the ground, who appeared to be motionless and unresponsive. The man was conveyed immediately to the Eric Williams Medical Science Complex for medical treatment. He was later pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
