Delroy Roger Johnson, 85, longtime resident of Lake Nebagamon, died peacefully, Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at Essentia Health-Miller Dwan Medical Center in Duluth, MN with his loving wife by his side.
He was born at home in Hawthorne, WI, July 31, 1935, the son of David L. and Mabel (Lidberg) Johnson.
A lifelong area resident, Delroy attended school in the Northwestern school district where he met the love of his life, Betty Ann Messany, on the school bus. He and Betty were united in marriage on February 5, 1955, at the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Superior and they celebrated sixty-six years of marriage before his passing. ....
