Dover Lifetime Learning offers course on ‘American Short Story’ Common Content   Editor’s Note: The following was submitted the Friends of the Dover Council on Aging.             The Friends of the Dover Council on Aging with support of the Dover Council on Aging are sponsoring the following four-part Lifetime Learning series:             The American Short Story 1960 - Present             Mondays 1:30-3 p.m.             March 1, 8, 15, 22. Cost: $35             Classes conducted on Zoom: Instructions on how to join these meetings will be e-mailed to participants.             This course will focus on reading and discussion of short stories by a selection of eight American authors including John Cheever, John Updike, Lorrie Moore, Jhumpa Lahiri, Mary Gordon, Elizabeth Strout, Junot Diaz and Chimananda Ngozi Adichie. January programming with The Stevens-Coolidge Place Community Content The North/Andover area properties of The Trustees are excited to announce January programming at The Stevens-Coolidge Place, Mary Cummings Park, Weir Hill, and Ward Reservation. Jump into the new year with one of our in-person or virtual programs to kick start 2021 on the right foot. Please note The Stevens-Coolidge Place will remain closed to the public except for scheduled programming during construction and until further notice; however, we encourage everyone to explore some of our neighboring properties to get us through the Winter Covid-blues. Wee Explorers 9:30-10:30 a.m. Jan. 19 and 26, Feb. 2, 9, 16 and 23 and March 2, 9 and 16. COVID-19 Update: Pre-registration is required for all participants. Walk-ins cannot be accepted due to current state mandates on outdoor group sizes. Property restrooms are closed until further notice. Masks are required for anyone 2+.
