Dr. Aysegul Timur has been officially installed as FGCU's fifth president.The Florida Board of Governors unanimously confirmed Timur as Florida Gulf Coast University’s fifth and first female president in June 2023.

FGCU forms search panel to look for new athetics director

With FGCU Director of Athletics Ken Kavanagh leaving earlier than previously announced, the university has formed a search panel to fill the position.Kavanagh had announced earlier that he would be retiring at the end of his contract in June, 2024. Instead, his immediate leaving was announced late Friday in a university-wide email from President Aysegul Timur.
