Pery Square in Limerick City Centre was a sea of green and white yesterday evening (Monday, July 24, 2023) to welcome the Limerick senior hurlers home to the city in the first of the homecoming events.
More than 20,000 Limerick GAA fans flooded Pery Square on Monday evening to welcome home the 2023 All-Ireland Senior Hurling champions. Limerick clinched a historic four-in-a-row championship title on July 23 in Dublin's Croke Park over Kilkenny.
After the feast of hurling served up in Croke Park on Sunday, Limerick supporters regrouped this evening in the centre of the Treaty City where their four-in-a-row heroes were given a rousing welcome home.
