The first batch of 350,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine , which was expected for Monday, will not finally arrive until Tuesday due to a delay in distribution by the pharmaceutical company Pfizer.
The company has informed the Ministry of Health that the delay is due to a problem in the loading and shipping process that occurred at its factory in Puurs (Belgium), the headquarters from which vaccines are distributed throughout Europe.
According to the Ministry of Health, Pfizer informed authorities on Sunday night that the delivery of the compromised vaccine consignment was delayed until next Tuesday . In addition to Spain, seven other European countries would also be affected by the delay in the delivery of new doses of the Comirnaty vaccine .
