City Council voted unanimously for a $2.2 million pilot program that would provide a basic monthly income for 175 households at or below poverty level.
According to the PAB's legal counsel, the New York Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court, agreed to hear the board's appeal on a court's previous decision to strip it of the powers.
