Sting by volunteer group leads to child predator arrest in Great Bend

GREAT BEND A Larned man was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Great Bend after a volunteer organization that creates online profiles of teens attempting to attract child predators tipped off investigators the man was traveling to the area.
The organization, known as Motor City Justice, contacted the Barton County Sheriff’s Office and shared information about the individual allegedly attempting to solicit unlawful activity with a juvenile, according to a release from Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir.
Deputies then put an area in the 3700 block of Eighth Street in Great Bend under surveillance and arrested Lonny R. Miller, 32, when he showed up about 5 p.m. ....
