Logan County Veteran Assistance Commission
The newly formed Central Illinois Veterans Commission has partnered with 2X4 For Hope of Quincy, Illinois to build tiny homes in Lincoln to be given to local veterans. Thanks to generous local support, the first of these homes is scheduled to be completed within the next two months, with more being built and gifted in the future.
The backbone of the 2X4 For Hope organization revolves around a single piece of lumber, called a 2x4, which is used to build the framework of a tiny home. These 2x4’s, prior to the homes being built are signed, and decorated with messages of love, support, wisdom and success by the community to our veterans, so that once the home is completed, the veteran recipient will always be surrounded by the love, honor and respect of the community for a new beginning, a new day, and hope.
