Marko Guberovic, 38, of Fair Lawn was killed at about 3:40 a.m. Saturday when a vehicle struck him as he lay incapacitated on a stretch of Route 17 south in Lodi.
Investigators determined that before the crash, Guberovic was in a fight with Ardian Hoti, 23, Fero Hoti, 24, Julio Pena, 23, Christian Reyes, 22, and Kevin Agudelo, 22, on the highway s shoulder outside the Satin Dolls exotic dance club, according to a complaint filed with Lodi Municipal Court.
Surveillance footage showed that the five men repeatedly punched Guberovic until he stumbled backward and collapsed facedown in the road s left lane, at which point the suspects drove away, leaving the victim in the path of oncoming traffic, according to authorities. ....
